A Chanukah Celebration

1993  (15 minutes)

A three movement work that portrays both the celebratory and the poignant side of Chanukah. Each of the movements may be rented and performed separately.

i. “Maoz Tzur” –  2 contrasting settings of “Maoz Tzur”

ii.  “Dances” –  “Chanukah, O Chanukah” and “Haho, Haya” in an unmistakable Yiddish style

iii.  “Hatikvah” (Song of Hope) –  begins in a quiet somber manner and grows to a triumphant ending
