A Night in Barcelona for String Orchestra

A Night in Barcelona for String Orchestra is a dreamscape of three Dances for String Orchestra.

I. Sofia’s Dance in the Mystical Garden has a haunting Cello and Viola duo preceding an elegant Spanish waltz.

II.  Paso Doble y Variaciones – A rustic Paso Doble and Variations in 5/8 and 3/4 time.

III. Habañera – Opens with a duet between pizzicato Cello and a mournful Viola, which leads into a vigorous Habañera.  A mournful Viola and Cello duet conclude the movement.
